 INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PRAY THE HOLY ROSARY

Followed by the Mysteries below

1 Mystery per day

 (1 Mystery = Full Rosary)

3 Mysteries per day will save your Nation from all evil!

RECITE THE HOLY ROSARY EACH DAY 

- A VERY POWERFUL WEAPON AGAINST THE ADVERSARY

 

 Study this diagram to help you through the steps below 


Prayers are as follows:


Step 1: While holding the Cross, with your right hand make the Sign of the Cross -

 (Hand touching forehead - 'In the Name of The Father' (Hand touching chest) - 'In The Name of The Son' (Hand touching left shoulder)- 'In The Name of The Holy' (Hand touching right shoulder) - 'Spirit. Amen'

Step 2: Continue to hold The Cross while beginning with:

 The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth, I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord, Who was Conceived by the Power of the Holy Spirit, Born of the Virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was Crucified, Died, and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He arose again from the dead; He Ascended into Heaven, and is Seated at the Right Hand of God, the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to Judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the Forgiveness of sins, the Resurrection of the body, and Life Everlasting. Amen.

Step 3: Now announce a Mystery for the day, beginning at the first one in each set, pause a few seconds to meditate on it. You can gaze at the picture to help you meditate the Mystery:

Step 4: Begin on the first large bead: 

The Our Father

Our Father Who Art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be Done on earth as It Is in Heaven, Give us this day, our Daily Bread and Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but Deliver us from evil. Amen.

Step 5: Then on each small bead (10):

The Hail Mary

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with Thee, Blessed Art Thou among women, and Blessed is The Fruit of Thy Womb, Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our of our death. Amen.

Step 6:  Then coming to the large bead:

The Glory Be

Glory Be to The Father and to The Son and to The Holy Spirit, as It Was in the Beginning is now and Ever Shall Be, world without end. Amen.

Step 7: Continue with this prayer on the large bead:

The Mercy Prayer - Oh my Jesus.

Oh my Jesus, Forgive us our sins, Save us from the fires of hell. Bring all souls to Heaven especially those who are in most need of Thy Mercy. Amen.

Step 8: Then repeat the steps beginning with The Our Father until your Rosary is completed full circle

 Step 9: The final concluding singular prayers are as follows:

Hail Holy Queen

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! Hail our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To Thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, to Thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, Most Gracious Advocate, Thine Eyes of Mercy toward us; and after this our exile, show unto us the Blessed Fruit of Thy Womb Jesus; O Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God that we may be made worthy of the Promises of Christ.


Prayer After the Rosary

O God, Whose Only-Begotten Son, by His Life, Death and Resurrection, has Purchased for us the Rewards of Eternal Life; Grant, we beseech Thee, that meditating on these Mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they Promise, through the Same Christ Our Lord. Amen.


For Souls

May the Divine Assistance remain always with us and may the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in Peace. Amen.

MEMORARE

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to Thy Protection, implored Thy Help, or sought Thy Intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto Thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To Thee do I come; before Thee I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate! Despise not my petitions, but in Thy Mercy Hear and Answer me. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel

Holy Saint Michael the Archangel, Protect us in battle, be our Protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host by the Power of God, cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits, who roam the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Step 10: Now finish with The Sign of The Cross

The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus. (Luke 1:30-31).

Second Joyful Mystery The Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth- For Charity Toward my Neighbour

When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.”

(Luke 1: 41-42).

 Fifth Joyful Mystery – Finding Jesus in the Temple -For the Gifts of Wisdom and Knowledge

The boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but his parents did not know it. Then they started to look for him among their relatives and  friends. When they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem to search for him. After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. (Luke 2: 43-47)

Third Glorious Mystery –The Descent of the Holy Spirit on Mary and the Apostles -For Great Zeal for the Glory of God

 And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.  Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability. (Acts 2: 2-4)

  Fourth Glorious Mystery – The Assumption of Mary into Heaven -For the Gift of Acceptance into the New Paradise

The Glorious Assumption of Mary, when she is taken body and soul into heaven and united with her Divine Son:  Listen, I will tell you a mystery! We will not all die, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. (1 Corinthians 15: 51-52).

Fifth Glorious Mystery – The Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth -For a Greater Love of the Mother of Salvation

 Mary is crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth: A great portent appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. (Revelation 12: 1)

THE SORROWFUL MYSTERIES

First Sorrowful Mystery – The Agony of Jesus in the Garden -For True Repentance for My Sins

  In his anguish he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground. When he got up from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. (Luke 22: 44-45)

  Second Sorrowful Mystery – Jesus is Scourged at the Pillar -For the Virtue of Purity

Pilate asked them, “Why, what evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Crucify him!” So Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released Barabbas for them; and after flogging Jesus, he handed him over to be crucified. (Mark 15: 14-15).

 Third Sorrowful Mystery – Jesus is Crowned With Thorns -For Moral Courage

They clothed him in a purple cloak; and after twisting some thorns into a crown, they put it on him. And they began saluting him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”  They struck his head with a reed, spat upon him, and knelt down in homage to him. (Mark 5:17-19).

 Fourth Sorrowful Mystery – Jesus Carries His Cross -For the Virtue of Patience

And carrying the cross by himself, he went out to what is called The Place of the Skull, which in Hebrew is called Golgotha. (John 19: 17).

  Fifth Sorrowful Mystery – The Crucifixion of Jesus -For the Grace of Final Perseverance

Then Jesus gave a loud cry and breathed his last.  And the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. Now when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he breathed his last, he said, “Truly this man was God’s Son!” (Mark 15: 37-39)

THE LUMINOUS MYSTERIES

 First Luminous Mystery – The Baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan -For the Gift of the Holy Spirit.

And just as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens torn apart and the Spirit descending like a dove on him. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.”  (Mark 1: 10-11)

 The Second Luminous Mystery- The First Miracle at the Wedding at Cana -For Trust in the Intercession of The Mother of Salvation.

Jesus turns water into wine: When the wine gave out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what concern is that to you and to me? My hour has not yet come.”  His Mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”  Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him. (John 2: 3-11)

 The Third Luminous Mystery – The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God -For Conversion, and the Strength to Proclaim the True Word of God

Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.” (Mark 1: 14-15)

 The Fourth Luminous Mystery – The Transfiguration of Jesus -For Becoming a New Person in Christ.

Jesus took with him Peter and James and his brother John and led them up a high mountain, by themselves.  And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became dazzling white. Suddenly there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. (Mathew 17: 1-3)

 The Fifth Luminous Mystery – The Last Supper, the Holy Eucharist -For Adoration of the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.

While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for  the forgiveness of sins.”(Matthew 26: 26-28)
