A word of encouragement for the New Year 2022

25 Bible verses about God Testing People
There are many instances in the world today during these times that have changed our way of life, where it is perhaps prudential to discover the benefits rather than the hindrances, in order to cope with the ever- evolving way the world is demanding things be done. We can be so impacted with each and every challenge if we don’t countenance negativity and bring ourselves a peace and calm that even we might feel, is unexpected in response. Clearly the latter is most needed with perspective in essence, being paramount to our mental, emotional and spiritual wellness.

As an example, it seems that we might question why, if we remain unvaccinated in these times, we can’t travel by plane or other means, overseas for the forseeable future. We can look at this as a terrible restriction. We might love traveling. We might have family and friends overseas whom we would love to see.

However if we understand that God Has His Will and we need every sign post given by Him to realise that we are no longer needing control over our lives, our wants, our desires- that He is driving all that is before us, to reeducate us, to humble us, to live in His Will as the prayer to Our Father prescribes.

Can it not then be seen as His Means to remedy us from continuing to live our lives in our own wills?

In His Perfection He Permits the erroneous decisions made by those who claim authority to suspend our needs and our wants so that we can reevaluate what is actually important to better our lives and ourselves. It isn't just what we see as those in authority doing something terrible.

Thus taking US and THEM out of the equation, it brings us to a newly-establishing humility, to give over and surrender to His Needs, His Wants and His Will. This can be very difficult for most of us, who, like little children having their toy taken away, feel a deep sense of loss and perhaps sadness or even anger, to think we can’t have what we have been used to in spoiling ourselves.

We can crumble in such circumstances. Do we see the bigger picture or do we feel disempowered with this barrage of oppression and the taking away of our freedoms. Where is faith in this picture? Where is God Who Keeps His Promises in this picture?

Are we prepared to sacrifice and offer suffering as a means to capture souls for Christ?

There is always a silver lining.

There is always another door that opens.

God is not an unfinished sentence.

He is and always will be......WITH US!
